Wiyaala is a popualar Ghanaian singer and songwriter who best known for her combination of her native language Sissala and Waala dialects and English to deliver great songs.
Wiyaala was born Noella Wiyaala on December 22, 1986 in Wa. She grew up in Funsi and Tumu. She has four sisters. Wiyaala was lucky enough to have her mother give her her first singing lessons. Her mother was a choir leader at a local church.
Wiyaala matriculated from a local primary and Junior High School in Funsi before proceeding to the Kanton Secondary High in Tumu. She often played football as a midfielder and was the sought-after dancer and entertainer.
Wiyaala graduated from the Takoradi Technical University with a diploma in art and design course.
After school, Wiyaala joined Echo Soundz Recording Studios in local record label, and the rest they say is history.
