One dead, two critical after nighttime crash on Navrongo-Sandema road

A horrific accident last night on the Navrongo-Sandema road near the Tono bridge has resulted in one fatality and two critically injured individuals.

Eyewitnesses reported that a pickup truck traveling towards Navrongo collided with a broken-down cargo truck transporting wood.

The cause of the accident appears to be the lack of warning signs or signals from the stationary cargo truck. The driver reportedly abandoned the vehicle without alerting oncoming traffic of the potential hazard.

Emergency personnel from the Navrongo police command arrived at the scene to retrieve the deceased’s remains and clear the road obstruction.

They are also reminding drivers of the importance of using warning signals when their vehicles are disabled.
