A former member of parliament for the Builsa North Constituency in the Upper East Region, Timothy Ataboadey Awotiirim nearly dropped tears when recounting how his landlord ousted him after he lost elections.
Speaking on Kingdom Fm as monitored by Harmattangh.com, Mr. Awotiirim said he lived in a rented apartment at Lapaz, a suburb of Accra when without any prior notice, his landlord asked him to vacate.
With utter dismay, he confronted the landlord to find out his sins. Sadly, the landlord asked him to return to his hometown because he has finished serving his term.
”… I was shocked because I take responsibilities in the house even without the landlord’s awareness, I treat the house like my own. So I asked him what the problem is, do you know what he told? He asked me to go back to where I came from because I had finished my work a parliamentarian and was shocked “ he narrated.
The former legislator said his colleagues Fritz Baffour and Albert Abongo gave him a guest house to stay in for the next eight months.
“…Fritz Baffour met me with my belongings in the bad asked what happens, I narrated the story to him, he quickly called Albert Abongo to get me a place to stay. I was at the guest house for eight months “ he added.
The one time Mp was citing instances of the challenges party faitlfuls go through should their party loses power. He is a victim.
