President Nana Akuffo Addo has finally nominated persons who should serve in the various MMCE portfolios in the country, pending approval.
A total of 15 persons have been nominated to occupy the 15 MMDCE offices in the Upper East Region.
The 2020 Parliamentary Candidate for the NPP in the region, Rex Asanga have been nominated by the President as the MCE for the Bolgatanga. Pending approval, Rex Asanga is retiring Joseph Amiyuure, a one-time MCE who contested and lost the party’s parliamentary primaries to Asanga.
The Honorable Peter Ayinbisa, former DCE for Bongo and a failed parliamentary candidate has been fired and replaced with Rita Atanga.
In the Bolgatanga East District, Rev Emmanuel Abole is also replaced by David Akolgo Amoah.
A total of 237 persons applied to occupy the 15 MMDCE positions in the Upper East Region, the number was later pruned to 59 which was presented to the President to make his preferential nominations.
