Wedaga, as proven, had enough votes to keep her in the ongoing Ghana’s Most Beautiful (Tv3 GMB) beauty contest but was nearly evicted last Sunday.
Had it not been for the vigilance of Wedaga’s team, she would have been evicted despite having enough votes to keep her in contest.
Over 8,000 votes which is equivalent to over Ghc13,000, did not reflect her dashboard on the leaderboard.
Before the eviction night, Wedaga was placed 9th with only 21,370 votes which meant a chunk of her votes did not reflect her dashboard.
After several petitions for the discrepancy to be resolved, Tv3 credited her dashboard with the 8,000 votes.
The refunded 8,000 adds up to 6,720 votes to make 14,960 votes to begin the week.
Organizers of GMB 2021 said their investigations revealed that only one ticket from a total of seven was processed for Wedaga.
“Please check we have credited your contestant. Our investigations revealed that only one ticket out of the seven tickets was processed. The remaining six tickets amounted to 8000 votes. That’s what has been credited to your contestant now. Thanks for your patience. “
Some close circles within the camp of Wedaga say they are beginning to cast doubts over the transparency of the contest.
