Akufo-Addo Bows Social Media Pressure, Speaks Finally About Lekki Massacre

The president of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo has finally spoken about the violence in Nigeria.

The president, many Ghanaians called on him to condemn the violence happening in Nigeria especially the killings in Lekki yesterday.

The Army opened fire on unarmed EndSars protesters in Lekki killing and injuring many.

Most Africans and the International community condemned the act,  calling on President Buhari to take steps to resolve the issue.

But President Akuffo who is also the chairman of the Economic Community Of West African States, was unconcerned, people say.

But president Akuffo Addo finally tweeted disclosing that he has spoken to President Buhari who has shown commitment in resolving the impasse in his country.

He tweeted, ”I join all well-meaning persons in calling for calm, and the use of dialogue in resolving the #EndSARSimpasse in Nigeria. I have spoken with President Buhari, who is committed to this end, and has begun the processes that will lead to reform”.

He added ”Violence, be it on the part of the Police or protesters, cannot be the solution. To the families who have lost their loved ones, I express my sincere condolences, and I wish the injured a speedy recovery. #EndSARS”
